Overview

The Schubert & Salzer Type 4037 is an Ex-certified motorized ball sector valve designed for on/off and modulating control of fluids, suspensions, and gases — including contaminated, abrasive, and viscous media — in potentially explosive atmospheres. Available in 1″ through 4″ nominal sizes, the Type 4037 combines a robust stainless steel valve body with an integrated brushless DC actuator certified to ATEX and IECEx standards for use in Zone 1, 2, 21, and 22 classified areas.

The valve features near-equal percentage control characteristics with a rangeability of 100:1, adjustable stroking times, universal voltage supply (24–230 V AC/DC), and an IP66-rated enclosure. An integrated heating system and optional spring return function extend its suitability for demanding industrial environments where reliability and low maintenance are critical.
