Overview

The Schubert & Salzer Type 8042 GS3 is a smart pneumatic pressure regulator for precise pressure control of steam and gases. Unlike the self-operated Type 8011 GS3 pressure regulator, the Type 8042 accepts external or manual setpoint input, combining a compact valve and controller design in a single unit. Compressed air is required as supply energy. Available in sizes 1/2″ to 6″ with stainless steel (CF8M / 316L cover) or carbon steel (WCB / 316L cover) body options, the valve is rated to 145/580 psi and ANSI #150 and #300.

Three control range actuator variants are available — 1–15 psi, 7–36 psi, and 7–87 psi — to match specific process pressure regulation requirements. Media temperatures range from -14°F to 446°F with special versions available on request. TA-Luft / ISO 15848-1, CRN, and SIL approvals are standard, with optional ATEX non-electrical approval for hazardous area service.
