Overview
The Schubert & Salzer Type 8036 GS3 is a motorized sliding gate control valve with third-party electric actuator, designed for a wide variety of media in process industries and plant engineering applications. The Type 8036 distinguishes itself from other GS3 motor valves through actuator configurability — various settings of the motor actuator can be made via configuration software, and multiple communication protocols are available for integration with advanced process control systems.
Available in sizes 1/2″ to 10″ with stainless steel (CF8M / 316L cover) or carbon steel (WCB / 316L cover) body options, the Type 8036 is rated to 145/580 psi, 1,450 psi, and ANSI #150, #300, and #600. Media temperatures range from -76°F to 662°F with special versions available on request. Thrust options span 1 kN, 2 kN, and 4.5 kN (control actuator: 2.3/4.5 kN) with voltage options of 230 VAC, 110/120 V AC, 24 VAC, and 24 VDC. The actuator is rated IP65.
