Overview
The Schubert & Salzer Type 7082 is a pneumatically actuated 3/2-way (3-port, 2-position) control valve in 316 stainless steel CF8M, designed for modulating diverting and mixing service with neutral to aggressive media. Available in sizes 1/2″ to 2″ and rated to 580 psi, the Type 7082 handles gases, vapors, and liquids at media temperatures from -22°F to 392°F with extended application capability from -148°F to 428°F.
Unlike the 7081 on/off 3-way valve, the Type 7082 supports integrated positioner configurations for modulating control of flow distribution and mixing ratios. Both digital positioner Type 8049 and pneumatic/electro-pneumatic positioner Type 8047 are compatible, and the valve is also available in direct-acting configuration. NPT and Whitworth pipe thread connections are provided, with distributing and mixing control function options to suit the specific process requirement.
