Overview
The Schubert & Salzer Type 8230 GS3 is a compact sliding gate motor valve designed for on/off and modulating control of neutral and aggressive media across a wide range of industrial applications. Positioned as a competitively priced true alternative to pneumatic actuators, the Type 8230 features a rugged metal actuator body and is available with an optional super capacitor-based fail-safe feature on demand. Available in sizes 1/2″ to 10″ with stainless steel (CF8M / 316L cover) or carbon steel (WCB / 316L cover) body options, the valve is rated to 145/580 psi and ANSI #150 and #300. Media temperatures range from -76°F to 662°F with special versions available on request.
The Type 8230 actuator supports control and 3-point configurations with 800 N thrust and motor voltages of 24 V AC/DC, 230 V, and 110/120 V. Control signal inputs include 3-point, 2–10V, and 4–20mA. Both wafer-type and threaded connections are available, and the actuator is rated IP65. CRN Certificate and TA-Luft / ISO 15848-1 are standard approvals.
