Overview
The Schubert & Salzer Type 8028 is a pneumatic sliding gate control valve in reinforced GS3 design, featuring an integrated positioner with a mounted diaphragm actuator for compact process plant installations. Characterized by high control precision and a long service life, the Type 8028 is ideal for demanding modulating control applications where installation space is limited. Available in sizes 1/2″ to 6″ with stainless steel (CF8M body / 316L cover) or carbon steel (WCB body / 316L cover) body options, the valve is rated to 145/580 psi and ANSI #150 and #300.
Media temperatures range from -76°F to 662°F with special versions available on request. Connection options include wafer-type and threaded. The Type 8049 digital positioner is the standard integrated positioner configuration, and metal bellows, limit switch, position feedback, and pilot valve accessories are available. TA-Luft / ISO 15848-1 fugitive emissions compliance is a standard approval.
