Schubert & Salzer 4032 High-Resolution Ball Sector Control Valve
Need help selecting your product?
Overview
The Schubert & Salzer Type 4032 is a high-precision ball sector control valve driven by smart technology and a high-resolution servomotor providing over 8,000 steps of resolution in 90° of travel — making it one of the most accurate and repeatable control valves available. Originally developed as a basis weight control valve for the paper industry, the Type 4032 is suited for any application where repeatability and resolution are paramount, including contaminated, abrasive, viscous, and pasty media.
Available in sizes 1″ to 10″ in stainless steel CF8M / 316L with size-dependent pressure ratings up to 580 psi, the Type 4032 features three actuator variants (S1500, S2000, and S4000 — each at 24 VDC) with resolution of approximately 1,300, 1,600, and 4,000 steps per 90° of travel respectively. Control inputs include 4–20 mA, step-signal, and Modbus 485 for advanced process control and digital communication integration.
