Overview
The Honeywell BCU 560, BCU 565, and BCU 580 are microprocessor-based burner control units designed for controlling, igniting, and monitoring gas burners in continuous or intermittent operation. Each model unites the functionally interrelated components of automatic burner control — including manual/automatic mode changeover and display of operating and fault status — in a compact plastic housing for DIN rail mounting in a control cabinet.
The BCU series supports impulse-controlled, modulating-controlled, and stage-controlled gas burners across a broad range of industrial and commercial combustion applications. Program status, unit parameters, and flame signal are displayed directly on the unit, and diagnosis and adjustment of unit parameters is performed via an optical interface using BCSoft software. The BCU 565 adds dedicated airflow monitoring features, and the BCU 580 extends the platform to support pilot-plus-main burner configurations and multiple-burner systems with central air supply.
