Overview
The Honeywell Model 700SP Signal Processor Series consists of two single-channel, fail-safe, self-checking flame monitoring signal processors — the 700ACSP and 700DCSP — designed for use with the S70X and S80X series viewing heads. Both models provide reliable flame detection using either UV or IR sensing technology, and feature an intuitive 12-button keypad with a two-digit numeric display for easy on-site setup and configuration. All viewing heads in the S70X and S80X families are fully interchangeable between both signal processor models.
The 700SP series supports Modbus RS-422 communication for integration with Honeywell FlameTools software, the S7999D touchscreen interface, or other Modbus RTU-compatible host controls. Both models mount on a standard 35 mm DIN rail and connect via Phoenix plug-in terminal connectors, minimizing installation time. The system is rated fit for use in SIL 3 safety applications under a 1oo1 architecture with a proof test interval of 1 to 5 years.

- Isolated 0–20 mA or 4–20 mA analog output — Provides a proportional flame signal to remote meters or DCS inputs, with a maximum load resistance of 360 ohms.
- Modbus RS-422 communication — Supports up to 32 signal processors per bus, with compatibility for Honeywell FlameTools software and S7999D touchscreen for remote monitoring and configuration.
- Compact DIN rail mounting — Both models snap onto a standard 35 mm DIN rail and occupy only 3 inches of panel width. Phoenix plug-in terminal connectors simplify field wiring.
- 24 VDC backup power input — Both AC and DC models accept an optional 24 VDC battery backup, maintaining operation during primary power interruptions.
- Panel lock feature — Prevents unauthorized changes to stored setpoints after commissioning.
- SIL 3 rated — Both 700ACSP and 700DCSP are declared fit for use in SIL 3 low-demand safety applications per IEC 61508, with Safe Failure Fraction (SFF) greater than 99%.
