Overview

The Eclipse BrightFire® 200 is an adjustable, low NOx, air-fuel burner designed for compatibility with regenerative glass furnaces. It delivers superior flame and heat transfer adjustability through a dual-adjustment design: an independent gas flow adjustment that controls the location of heat release into the glass melt, and an area adjustment that governs flame length. This combination provides increased flexibility in flame geometry and enables significant NOx reduction without requiring changes to the furnace structure.

The BrightFire 200 is available in three body sizes (G, M, and B) with a range of nozzle sizes covering inputs from 2 to 28 MM Btu/hr. Two inner nozzle types and profiled or straight body options allow the burner to be configured for a wide range of furnace designs. Oil lances are available as a backup fuel option across the full input range, supporting operational continuity during natural gas interruptions.

Features & Benefits

  • Dual-adjustment design — independent gas flow and area adjustments allow flame geometry, heat release location, and flame length to be controlled separately for precise furnace management
  • Very low NOx emissions — burner can be tuned to maximize heat transfer into the glass melt while minimizing NOx output
  • Improved glass quality — superior heat transfer adjustability supports more uniform heating across the melt
  • Reduced fuel consumption — improved heat transfer efficiency into the glass reduces overall fuel usage
  • Three body sizes (G, M, B) with multiple nozzle combinations — allows flame shape, emissions, and heat release to be tailored to specific furnace requirements
  • Compatible with Eclipse mounting brackets and socket plates — simplifies installation and retrofit into existing furnace ports
  • Backward-compatible gas and cooling air connections — supports direct conversion from the previous BrightFire version without port modification
  • Oil lance option — available in 2 to 28 MM Btu/hr range for flexible backup fuel capability
  • Single gas connection — simplifies system design and reduces installation cost
  • Durable construction — designed for the high-temperature, demanding environment of glass furnace operation
  • Low maintenance design — minimizes downtime and reduces total cost of ownership
