Overview
The Schubert & Salzer Type 8043 GS3 is a sliding gate control valve with piston actuator and integrated positioner, offering a compact valve assembly characterized by high control quality and control dynamics. The direct and backlash-free installation of the positioner on the piston actuator eliminates exposed moving parts, providing a sealed, robust assembly suited for demanding process environments. Available in sizes 1/2″ to 10″ with stainless steel (CF8M / 316L cover) or carbon steel (WCB / 316L cover) body options, the Type 8043 is rated to 145/580 psi and ANSI #150 and #300. Media temperatures range from -76°F to 662°F with special versions available on request.
The Type 8043 is compatible with the Schubert & Salzer Type 8049 digital positioner and Type 8047 pneumatic/electro-pneumatic positioner. Both wafer-type and threaded connections are available. A DVGW certificate per DIN 16678 is included in the approvals, making the Type 8043 suitable for natural gas and fuel gas applications in addition to general industrial service.
