Overview

The Schubert & Salzer Type 7079 is a pneumatic pinch control valve with an integrated positioner, designed for demanding flow control applications involving contaminated, granulated, viscous, doughy, or aggressive media. Its elastomeric tube design keeps all wetted components in stainless steel 316L, while the non-wetted body is constructed of stainless steel CF8M.

Available in sizes from 1/2″ to 2″, the Type 7079 supports a range of positioner options — pneumatic, electro-pneumatic, and digital — and accommodates sanitary and aseptic applications with tube materials compliant with FDA and USP Class VI guidelines.

Features & Benefits

  • Integrated positioner (pneumatic, electro-pneumatic, or digital Type 8049) for compact, single-unit installation
  • Rotatable actuator design for flexible installation orientations
  • All components in contact with fluid constructed of stainless steel 316L for superior corrosion resistance
  • Non-wetted body in stainless steel CF8M — no process media contact with the valve body
  • Suitable for sanitary and aseptic applications — hygienic sealing design
  • Compatible with FDA-approved tube materials (EPDM, NBR) for food, beverage, and pharmaceutical service
  • Handles liquids, gases, suspensions, granulates, and slurries without degradation of control performance
  • Revised inner tube design for improved performance in demanding applications
