Overview

The Schubert & Salzer Type 8030 GS3 is a motorized sliding gate control valve designed for a wide range of industrial applications. Using a third-party electric actuator rather than Schubert & Salzer’s integrated pneumatic platform, the Type 8030 serves as a versatile option where electric actuation is preferred or where pneumatic infrastructure is unavailable. Available in sizes 1/2″ to 10″ with stainless steel (CF8M / 316L cover) or carbon steel (WCB / 316L cover) body options, the Type 8030 is rated to 145/580 psi, 1,450 psi, and ANSI #150, #300, and #600.

Media temperatures range from -76°F to 662°F with special versions available on request. The electric actuator supports control and 3-point configurations with thrust ratings of 0.9 kN, 2 kN, and 4.5 kN and voltage options of 230 VAC, 24 VAC, 400 V, and 24 VDC. The actuator is rated IP65. DNV GL Certificate and CRN Certificate are standard approvals alongside TA-Luft / ISO 15848-1.
