Overview
The Schubert & Salzer Type 2040 is a compact optical and electronic position indicator designed for direct mounting on pneumatic valves equipped with linear or part-turn actuators. It provides both a visual display of valve position and electronic position feedback via NPN switching contacts, making it suitable for integration into automated process control systems.
The Type 2040 features a self-teaching adaptation mode for quick calibration to the actuator stroke, and supports full configuration and diagnostics through the Schubert & Salzer “DeviceConfig” PC software (version 7.02.00 or higher). The unit also monitors for valve faults and configurable maintenance intervals, outputting alerts both visually and through a dedicated NPN switching output.
