Overview

The Honeywell BCU 570 is a burner control unit designed to control, ignite, and monitor individual or forced draught burners of unlimited capacity in intermittent or continuous operation. It performs central safety functions including pressure monitoring, integrated valve proving, and pre-purge sequencing, and controls an actuator to ensure safe and reliable ignition of the burner.

The BCU 570 is DIN rail mounted and supports flame supervision via UV sensor or ionization rod. It operates on 120 V or 230 V mains voltage and is certified to SIL up to 3 / PL e, with approvals covering EU, UL, FM, CSA, AGA, and EAC standards. Optional fieldbus communication via the BCM 500 module supports PROFINET and Modbus TCP integration.
