Overview
The Honeywell Bayonet Ultra Recuperator is a high-efficiency plug-in heat exchanger designed to fit into the exhaust leg of single, U, O, W, or Trident-type radiant tubes. Unlike conventional recuperators that use only a single heat transfer tube, the Bayonet Ultra contains multiple tubes to dramatically increase heat transfer area while reducing fuel consumption. When paired with Tube Firing burners, the Bayonet Ultra is capable of delivering fuel savings of up to 30% by preheating combustion air from exhaust streams up to 2,100°F.
New and retrofit installations rarely require special brickwork or radiant tube modifications. The Bayonet Ultra is available in four sizes to fit radiant tube inside diameters from 3 to 8 inches, with adjustable tube lengths and a selection of pressure drops to match existing blower systems. An air-cooled housing further helps cool the work area during operation.
