HTS Eclipse – ImmersoJet IJ Series Immersion Tube Burners
Need help selecting your product?
Overview
The Eclipse ImmersoJet® (IJ) is a nozzle-mix, tube-firing immersion burner designed to fire at high velocities through small-diameter immersion tubes. High-velocity combustion gases scrub the inner tube surfaces, producing the highest heat transfer rate of any immersion burner available and delivering faster heat-up times than competing designs. The standard burner package includes a packaged blower, actuator control motor, integral butterfly valve, ratio regulator, burner body, combustion chamber, nozzle, rear cover, and spark and flame rods.
Available in five models (IJ-2 through IJ-8) covering tube sizes from 2 to 8 inches in diameter, the ImmersoJet operates on natural gas, propane, or butane and supports low-pressure packaged, high-pressure packaged, and remote blower configurations. Maximum firing inputs range from 190,000 BTU/h to 4,800,000 BTU/h depending on model and blower selection. System efficiencies in excess of 80% are achievable with proper tube design.
Features & Benefits
- Highest heat transfer rate available – High-velocity combustion gases scrub the inner tube surface, maximizing heat transfer and reducing burner surface temperature.
- Faster heat-up times – Delivers faster heat-up than any other immersion burner design, improving process throughput.
- Space-saving tube requirements – Small-diameter tube design saves valuable space inside the tank and allows longer effective tube runs for higher efficiency.
- Combustion chamber outside the tank – Reduces space inside the tank, provides more uniform heat distribution, and simplifies access for maintenance.
- Multiple blower configurations – Available with integral low-pressure blower, integral high-pressure blower, or less-blower (remote blower) to match system requirements.
- Modulating on-ratio control – Air-proportional ratio regulator maintains accurate air/gas ratio across the full modulation range for efficient, low-emission combustion.
- Low CO emissions – CO output below 100 ppm across the operating range.
- Unique nozzle design – Ensures quiet operation; fuel-specific nozzles and orifices available for natural gas, propane, and butane.
- Flexible flame detection – Compatible with flame rod or UV scanner flame monitoring systems.
- Factory-assembled package – Shipped ready to install, minimizing field assembly time and commissioning effort.
