Overview

The Schubert & Salzer Type 7050 is the right-angle version of the Type 7010 angle seat valve, designed for space-saving installations and applications where self-draining capability is required. Available in sizes 1/2″ to 2″ in stainless steel CF8M (316 stainless), the Type 7050 is rated to 580 psi with a media temperature range of -22°F to 392°F and extended application capability from -148°F to 428°F.

The 90-degree body orientation allows the Type 7050 to fit in tight installations where a straight-through valve cannot be accommodated, while also enabling complete drainage of the valve body — an important consideration in hygienic, steam, and condensate applications. NPT and Whitworth pipe thread connections are available, and the full range of Type 7010 actuator and accessory options carry over to this model.

Features & Benefits

  • Right-angle body orientation enables installation in space-constrained piping layouts where straight-through valves cannot be used
  • Self-draining body design eliminates media pooling — critical for hygienic, steam, and condensate applications
  • Stainless steel CF8M (316 stainless) construction for compatibility with a wide range of aggressive media
  • High pressure rating of 580 psi with media temperatures from -22°F to 392°F
  • Extended application temperature range of -148°F to 428°F for high-cycle and thermally demanding service
  • Pneumatically operated with choice of piston or stainless steel diaphragm actuator
  • Actuator body options in brass (chrome plated), stainless steel, or polymer
  • NPT and Whitworth pipe thread connections available
  • Optional ATEX non-electrical approval (II 2G Ex h IIC and II 2D Ex h IIIC) for hazardous area installations
  • Special versions available: low temperature, degreased, silicone-free, and PTFE-free
  • Accessories including limit switch, pilot valve, and manual override available from factory
  • CRN Certificate, EC and UKCA Declarations of Conformity, and Safety Manual with SIL manufacturer’s declaration available
