Overview
The Schubert & Salzer Type 8020 GS3 is a diaphragm-actuated sliding gate control valve designed for modulating and high-speed on/off control of steam, liquids, gases, and other media across a wide range of process applications. Available in sizes 1/2″ to 10″ and rated to 145/580 psi, 1,450 psi, and ANSI #150, #300, and #600, the Type 8020 is the most pressure-capable and broadly specified valve in the Schubert & Salzer sliding gate control valve lineup. Media temperatures range from -76°F to 662°F, with special versions available on request.
The Type 8020 features a NAMUR interface for universal positioner assembly, supporting pneumatic, electro-pneumatic, and digital positioner configurations. Body and cover material options include stainless steel (CF8M body / 316L cover) and carbon steel (WCB body / 316L cover) for maximum application flexibility. TA-Luft / ISO 15848-1 and DNV GL certifications are standard approvals, alongside CRN and SIL compliance. The wafer-type body installs between standard flanges with minimal face-to-face length.
