Overview

The Schubert & Salzer Type 7242 is an electrically actuated low flow valve designed for precise modulating control and safe on/off switching at very low flow rates and high pressures. Available in 1/4″ and 1/2″ sizes in stainless steel 316L and rated to PN 320, the Type 7242 is suited for gases and liquids across a broad range of industrial applications. Media temperatures range from -76°F to +410°F with application capability up to +986°F.

Unlike the pneumatic Type 7042 low flow valve, the Type 7242 uses an electric motor actuator with 800 N thrust, supporting control actuator and 3-point actuator configurations with 3-point, 2–10V, and 4–20mA signal inputs and motor voltages of 24 V AC/DC, 230 V, and 110/120 V. Connection options include pipe thread per ISO 228-1, NPT per ANSI B1.20.1, and socket weld. The actuator is rated IP65, and fail-safe, analog stroke feedback, and limit switch accessories are available.
