Overview

The Schubert & Salzer Type 7077 is a pinch control valve designed for use with endless tubes in sizes 1/8″ through 1/2″. The valve controls flow by pneumatically compressing the tube, creating a constriction that adjusts flow rate without any contact between the valve body and the process media. This no-cavity, no-back-taper design makes the Type 7077 well suited for sterile, hygienic, and chemically aggressive applications where cleanliness cannot be compromised.

The Type 7077 features an integrated digital or analog positioner and allows fast, simple tube changes without removing the valve from the process line. The stainless steel body, broad fluid temperature range, and compatibility with all elastomer tube materials up to Shore 65°A support a wide range of demanding process environments.

Features & Benefits

  • Integrated positioner — digital (Type 8049) or pneumatic/electro-pneumatic (Type 8047) options available to suit control requirements
  • No fluid contact with valve body — media travels entirely through the tube, eliminating cross-contamination risk
  • No cavities or back tapers — design supports hygienic and sterile process requirements
  • Fast and simple tube change — tube replacement is performed quickly without removing the valve from line
  • Three interchangeable fixing pieces — accommodates tube outer diameters of 3/8″, 1/2″, and 5/8″
  • Software-adjustable stroke — eight discrete stroke positions available from 0.16″ to 0.67″ (full stroke)
  • Rotatable bonnet — allows positioner orientation to be adjusted for installation flexibility
  • Stainless steel 304 body — provides corrosion resistance for aggressive media environments
  • Broad fluid temperature range — rated for -22°F to +338°F depending on tube material
  • Compatible with all elastomer tube types up to Shore hardness 65°A
