Overview

The Schubert & Salzer Type 6051 is a pneumatic aseptic right angle control valve designed for sterile flow control in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and food & beverage applications. Available in sizes 1/2″ through 2-1/2″, the valve features a 316L stainless steel barstock body, a reinforced EPDM diaphragm with PTFE fluid-side lining, and an integrated digital positioner (Type 8049) for precise modulating control. It is also available as a shut-off valve without a positioner.

The Type 6051 carries EHEDG (European Hygienic Engineering & Design Group) certification and is fully compliant with FDA requirements, USP Class VI, and EU regulations (EG) 1935/2004 and (EU) 10/2011. The right angle body design promotes optimized flow conditions, consistent wall shear stress, and easy cleanability, making it well-suited for CIP (Clean-in-Place) and SIP (Steam-in-Place) processes.
