HTS IFM – FlameTools / Thermalsoft Configuration Tools
Need help selecting your product?
Overview
The Honeywell FlameTools touchscreen display and Thermalsoft PC software are remote configuration and monitoring tools for Industrial Flame Monitoring (IFM) signal processors and viewing heads. Both platforms connect to multiple IFM signal processors via a Modbus daisy chain, supporting up to 32 to 64 units in a single network, enabling centralized management of large flame monitoring installations from a single interface.
FlameTools provides a touchscreen-based HMI for panel or field-mounted operation, while Thermalsoft delivers the same functionality through a standard PC. Both tools support real-time monitoring, system configuration, data logging, and diagnostics, making them well-suited for commissioning new systems and maintaining installed IFM networks. Note: A USB to RS485 adapter is required for PC-to-Modbus communication and must be sourced separately, as it is not available from Honeywell.
Features & Benefits
- Real-time flame and temperature monitoring – Continuous logging of flame status and temperature data across all connected signal processors for maximum system visibility and efficiency.
- Dual operating modes – Configuration and monitoring modes allow operators to switch between setup tasks and live system observation without additional tooling.
- Remote access – Both FlameTools and Thermalsoft support remote connection to the IFM system, increasing operational flexibility without requiring physical presence at the burner.
- Touchscreen operation (FlameTools) – Touchscreen display interface enables intuitive setup and operation, reducing training requirements in the field.
- Multi-loop support – Monitors and configures up to 32 to 64 signal processors in a single daisy chain network.
- Password protection – Access control prevents unauthorized changes to system configuration, supporting site security requirements.
- External memory backup – System configuration can be saved to an external memory device for archiving, restoration, or replication across multiple units.
- Excel data export – Flame and temperature data can be exported directly to Excel for trending, analysis, and record-keeping.
