HTS IFM – FASA Glass and Quartz Fiber Optics

Overview

The Honeywell FASA Glass and Quartz Fiber Optics series provides custom-engineered fiber optic extension assemblies designed to extend the optical path of UV, IR, or UV+IR flame detection viewing heads. FASA assemblies are ideally suited for applications where direct line-of-sight flame viewing is not possible, where ambient temperatures exceed the viewing head’s rated limit, or where the detector must be positioned closer to the flame for improved signal quality.

Two fiber optic material types are available: glass, for oil and coal flame monitoring applications, and quartz, for all fuel types including natural gas. Each FASA assembly is custom built for the specific installation and may include an outer carrier, inner carrier, and fiber optic bundle. Configurations may be fully flexible, flexible with a rigid section, or fully rigid with engineered adapters. All Honeywell signal processors and the U2 Series all-in-one viewing head are compatible with the FASA fiber optic system.

FASA Fiber Optics Accessories

The FASA system is compatible with Honeywell signal processors and the U2 Series viewing head. Air purge adapters and NPT connection adapters are available at the burner viewing end.
