Overview

The Eclipse FlueFire® is an in-duct burner designed for supplemental firing in cogeneration and combined-cycle installations. The burner is positioned directly in the exhaust gas stream between the turbine and the waste heat boiler, using the oxygen content of the turbine exhaust as its combustion air source — eliminating the need for a separate air supply and maximizing system efficiency.

FlueFire is proven across dozens of installations worldwide and is also suitable for fresh air firing and incineration applications. With the ability to handle inlet temperatures up to 700°C (1300°F) and outlet temperatures up to 1200°C (2200°F), it delivers reliable performance across the full range of cogeneration and heat recovery operating conditions.

Features & Benefits

  • Draws oxygen directly from turbine exhaust gases, optimizing overall system efficiency without a dedicated combustion air system
  • Handles inlet temperatures up to 700°C (1300°F) and outlet temperatures up to 1200°C (2200°F)
  • Suitable for operation with turbine exhaust, fresh air, or incineration applications
  • Industry-proven design with successful installations worldwide in cogeneration and combined-cycle plants
  • In-duct installation locates the burner directly between the turbine and waste heat boiler for compact system integration
