Overview
The Eclipse Tube Firing Burner (TFB) is a nozzle-mixing burner engineered for radiant and immersion tube heating applications with firing inputs from 25,000 to 2,000,000 Btu/hr (7.3 to 585.6 kW). Its cast alloy nozzle generates an intense, adjustable-length flame with a vigorous high-spin geometry that scrubs the interior of fire tubes, removes the gas film boundary layer, and maximizes heat transfer effectiveness — delivering outstanding temperature uniformity for consistent product processing and extended tube life.
The TFB supports multiple fuels with the same nozzle, accommodates both ambient and preheated combustion air (PCA) up to 1000°F (540°C), and is compatible with straight, U, W, and Trident®-type radiant tube designs. When paired with Eclipse Bayonet-Ultra Recuperators, the system can achieve fuel savings up to 30% and NOx reductions up to 50% when used with the Eclipse E-Jector Flue Gas Recirculation Device.
Features & Benefits
- High-spin flame geometry scrubs the inside of fire tubes to remove the gas film boundary layer, increasing heat transfer effectiveness and promoting uniform tube temperatures for longer tube life and consistent process quality
- Multi-fuel capability — compatible with natural gas, propane, and butane using the same nozzle, supporting global application flexibility
- Preheated combustion air (PCA) option supports combustion air temperatures up to 1000°F (540°C), enabling fuel efficiency gains up to 20% via exhaust leg recuperator
- Adjustable air shroud maintains correct air velocity for different tube sizes and fuels, allowing precise flame length and profile control
- Integrated air and gas orifices supplied with each unit simplify commissioning and set-up
- Both air and gas inlets are rotatable in 90° increments for flexible piping arrangements
- Removable rear cover allows inspection and maintenance without breaking air pipework
- Two peepsights provide clear visual access for flame verification and adjustment
- Low NOx and low CO emissions — CO less than 10 ppm (corrected to 3% O2) at furnace temperatures between 1400°F and 1800°F
- Low air and gas pressure requirements with wide ignition and operational range
- Compatible with Eclipse Bayonet-Ultra Recuperators and E-Jector Flue Gas Recirculation Device for maximum system efficiency and NOx reduction
- Direct spark ignition (6 kVAC) standard across all models
- NPT or BSP piping connections available for global installations
