Overview

The Schubert & Salzer Type 7231 is a compact flanged angle seat motor valve designed for on/off and modulating operation with neutral to aggressive media. Available in sizes 1/2″ to 3″ in stainless steel CF8M, the Type 7231 supports ANSI #150, ANSI #300, and DIN EN 1092-1 flange connections and is rated to 580 psi. Media temperatures range from -22°F to +392°F with application capability from -40°F to +428°F.

The Type 7231 uses the same 180 lbf electric motor actuator as the Type 7210, with 3-point, (0)2–10V, and (0)4–20mA control signal inputs and motor voltages of 24 V AC/DC, 230 V, and 110/120 V. A fail-safe (spring return) option is available on all control actuator configurations. The actuator is rated IP65, and positioner electronics, limit switches, and position feedback are available as accessories.

Features & Benefits

  • Compact flanged angle seat design for direct installation in ANSI #150, ANSI #300, or DIN EN 1092-1 flanged piping systems without separate end connections
  • Stainless steel CF8M body for on/off and modulating control of neutral to aggressive media
  • Electric motor actuation — eliminates compressed air requirement for flanged process installations
  • 180 lbf thrust actuator with 3-point, (0)2–10V, and (0)4–20mA control signal inputs
  • Motor voltage options: 24 V AC/DC, 230 V, and 110/120 V for flexible electrical integration
  • Fail-safe option available on all control actuator configurations for defined valve position on power loss
  • IP65 protection rating for reliable operation in wet or washdown environments
  • Rated to 580 psi with ANSI #150 and ANSI #300 flange class support
  • Media temperatures from -22°F to +392°F with application range from -40°F to +428°F
  • Special versions available: low temperature, pressure balanced, degreased, silicone-free, and PTFE-free
