Overview

The Schubert & Salzer Type 8040 GS3 is a pneumatically operated sliding gate stop valve engineered for high-cycle on/off applications requiring extremely fast response times. Based on the sliding gate principle, the GS3 achieves actuation times up to 200 ms, making it suited for rapid and precise delivery of neutral to aggressive fluids in demanding process applications. Available in sizes 1/2″ to 8″ in wafer-type body design, the Type 8040 accommodates both stainless steel (CF8M body / 316L cover) and carbon steel (WCB body / 316L cover) material configurations.

With a media temperature range of -76°F to 662°F — the widest of any valve in the Schubert & Salzer on/off lineup — and pressure ratings of 145 psi, 580 psi, ANSI #150, and ANSI #300, the Type 8040 GS3 covers a broad spectrum of high-performance process conditions. TA-Luft / ISO 15848-1 fugitive emissions compliance and CRN certification are standard approvals, with optional ATEX non-electrical approval for hazardous area service.
