The Toshiba EQP Global SD is a NEMA Premium® efficiency, severe-duty motor line engineered for harsh industrial environments. With a rugged cast-iron TEFC design, oversized bearings, high torque output, and inverter-duty windings, this series delivers long life and reliable operation under the most demanding conditions.

- Severe-duty construction: Cast-iron frame, brackets, and terminal box with Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled (TEFC) enclosure.
- Ingress protection: IP54 – IP65 depending on frame size; resistant to dust, dirt, and water jets.
- Oversized 300-series bearings: Heavy-duty drive-end and non-drive-end bearings extend lifespan up to 10× compared to standard designs.
- Low vibration: Exceeds NEMA MG1 vibration limits to protect coupled equipment and extend mechanical life.
- Wide thermal margin: Class H insulation with Class B temperature rise; C5 inter-lamination steel withstands > 1,000 °F burnout temperatures.
- High torque: Meets or exceeds NEMA Design B torque values for reliable starts under load and voltage sag conditions.
- ASD-ready: Designed for adjustable-speed drives (ASD/VFD) with windings rated for 2,000 V spikes in 0.1 µs per NEMA MG1 Part 31.
