Overview
The Honeywell BIC..R and RSG are annular excess air burners designed for direct-fired furnace applications. Built with a cast steel housing and annular-gap technology, these burners accept a ceramic tube connection and are engineered for high excess air operation in demanding thermal process environments.
Available in burner sizes 65, 100, and 140, the BIC..R and RSG series deliver output capacities from 15 to 360 kW. They support natural gas, town gas, and LPG fuel types, and are suitable for modulating or staged combustion control across a broad range of furnace and kiln temperatures.
Features & Benefits
- Annular-gap technology enables high excess air operation — up to λ = 50 — for flexible combustion control in low-temperature process applications
- Cast steel housing provides durability for direct-fired furnace environments with kiln temperatures up to 1450 °C (up to 1600 °C on request)
- Connection for ceramic tube (SiC, Si-1500) included, supporting furnace wall penetration up to 1500 °C max tube temperature
- Threaded air and gas connections with rotatable fittings in 90° steps for flexible installation in any mounting position
- Available with integrated ignition lance (pilot ignition or direct ignition, configuration-dependent)
- Flame supervision via ionisation electrode standard; optional UV sensor available
- Short (R) and long (H) flame shapes available to suit differing furnace geometries
- Modulating or staged combustion control with an approximate 1:10 control range
