Overview

The Eclipse E-Jector is a flange-mounted flue gas recirculation (FGR) device designed exclusively for use with the Eclipse Tube Firing Burner (TFB) as part of a complete radiant tube system. It accommodates radiant tube inside diameters of 4 to 6 inches and maximum firing capacities up to 500,000 Btu/h (132 kW). The E-Jector reduces NOx emissions by recirculating a portion of flue gas back into the combustion air stream, with field-demonstrated reductions of 40–50% over baseline emission levels. Each E-Jector system was custom engineered by Eclipse to ensure compatibility with the specific radiant tube installation.

Features & Benefits

  • Flange-mounted directly to the radiant tube exhaust or Eclipse BU Bayonet recuperator — no additional support structure required
  • Flue gas recirculation reduces NOx emissions by 40–50% in typical applications
  • Two nozzle sizes (21 mm and 24 mm) cover the full input range from low fire to 500,000 Btu/h (132 kW)
  • Compatible with Eclipse Bayonet Ultra (BU) recuperators for combined high fuel efficiency and low NOx performance
  • 3/8 in (9.5 mm) tapped emissions sampling connection included for field O2 measurement
  • Every system custom engineered by Eclipse to maximize performance and assure radiant tube compatibility

  • Emissions sampling tap: 3/8 in (9.5 mm) tapped connection
  • Typical NOx reduction: 40–50%
  • Continuous spark required for chamber temperatures below 1,400°F (760°C)
  • System must start below 350,000 Btu/h (92 kW) until chamber temperature exceeds 500°F (260°C)
  • All performance data based on 15% excess combustion air and natural gas

Applications

  • Flue gas recirculation (FGR) for radiant tube furnace systems
  • Industrial heat treating furnaces with radiant tube configurations
  • Applications requiring NOx emission reduction on existing radiant tube burner systems
  • Use with Eclipse Tube Firing Burner (TFB) and Eclipse BU Bayonet Ultra recuperators

E-Jector Accessories

  • Part No. 10030959 – Eclipse-recommended 2 in x 18 in (51 x 457 mm) flex hose for installation at the ambient air inlet to allow for thermal movement

Additional Information

  • The E-Jector is designed for exclusive use with the Eclipse Tube Firing Burner (TFB) as part of a total engineered system — it is not a standalone product
  • Flame safety controls should be used for burner monitoring (indication only) on E-Jector systems — governing codes apply
  • Do not insulate the E-Jector device; insulation may cause equipment damage and void the warranty
