Overview

The Schubert & Salzer Type 8053 is a manually operated high temperature sliding gate valve designed for regulating or shutting off liquid and gaseous media in demanding industrial applications. Available in the GS3 series, it operates across a wide temperature range — from -76°F up to +986°F — making it suitable for both neutral and aggressive process media where extreme thermal conditions are present.

Built in a compact wafer-type design, the Type 8053 installs between flanges per ASME B16.5 or DIN EN 1092-1 standards without the need for a dedicated valve body face length. Its sliding gate mechanism delivers precise manual control with low actuation force, high Cv-values, and tight shutoff performance across multiple pressure classes including ANSI 150, 300, and 600.
