The Rosemount 4851B89G05 is a diffuser for use with Rosemount in-situ oxygen analyzers. It is compatible with both the Oxymitter 4000 and 6888 O₂ probe models.
This diffuser is made from Alloy 600 with 40 micron design and is designed to operate in process temperatures up to 1300°F (705°C). It helps reduce gas velocity at the sensor tip, improving stability and protecting the zirconia element from wear and gas stream turbulence.
The 4851B89G05 diffuser has a different flow profile than other models like the 6A00453G01 or 6A00453G05. It is often selected for specific combustion setups where a lower-profile or alternate geometry is needed to suit probe mounting or process conditions.
The diffuser installs directly at the end of the O₂ probe and can be replaced in the field.
